Uses
- temporarily relieves these symptoms due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: runny nosesneezingitchy, watery eyesitching of the nose and throat
- temporarily relieves these symptoms due to the common cold: runny nosesneezing
Warnings
OTC - DO NOT USE SECTION
Do not use
- to make a child sleepy
- with any other product containing diphenhydramine, even one used on skin
OTC - ASK DOCTOR SECTION
Ask a doctor before use if you have
- a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis
- glaucoma
- difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland
- a sodium-restricted diet
OTC - ASK DOCTOR/PHARMACIST SECTION
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers
OTC - WHEN USING SECTION
When using this product
- marked drowsiness may occur
- avoid alcoholic drinks
- alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness
- be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery
- excitability may occur, especially in children
OTC - PREGNANCY OR BREAST FEEDING SECTION
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health care professional before use.
OTC - KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN SECTION
Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Directions
- Adults and children 12 years and over: swallow the contents of one bottlerepeat every 4-6 hours while symptoms persist, or as directed by doctordo not take more than 6 bottles in 24 hours
- Children under 12 years: Do not use
